Public Service Announcement

If you're like me, you hate telemarketing calls. I especially hate when I get those calls on my cellphone. With an industry so hated, wouldn't you think that telemarketing companies would've figured something else out by now? Thank God for the Fed's "Do Not Call Registry". If you don't want to be called, go to the link (donotcall.gov) and sign up your phone numbers.

I completely agree. I've learned though that the Do Not Call Regsitry does not apply to not-for-profit organizations. So they can still call you and ask for donations. Still annoying, but they're harder to get mad at.

I get mad at them because I know a couple of people who run the NFP's and the make in the mid-six figures! What the fuck is that! Many NFP's spend most of their money on their infrastructure and not what their mission is suppose to be. They should make a kinda-not-for-profit designation. "We're saving the planet, but we gotta eat too."
